Negative theology as a fundamental issue in theological approaches, has been the subject of study by many scholars in recent times. An important concept in theology and philosophy as it is, considering the mystical approach in knowing God, it might be regarded an important subject of study in mysiticism as well. This approach is based on two basic elements: inefficiency of reason in knowing God; inability of man in speaking about God, which are ultimately inter-dependent. The present article is going to study the status of negative theology in Sanā"Ê’s thought with an analytical and explanatory method.
